Ultra-High Productivity
The AMS Series achieves the industry's fastest sewing speed of 2,800 stitches per minute, reaching maximum speed by the second stitch and maintaining it until the final phase of sewing. This dramatically reduces cycle time.
A JUKI-developed stepping-motor controlled thread trimming system ensures rapid and consistent thread cutting, while the direct-drive main shaft servomotor improves responsiveness and accelerates cycle completion.
High Speed at Longer Stitch Pitches
The machine maintains its top speed of 2,800 sti/min up to a stitching pitch of 4 mm, the highest capability in the industry.
For larger stitch lengths, speeds increase significantly versus older models:
Up to 90% faster on AMS-210EN
Up to 60% faster on AMS-221EN
The system automatically controls sewing speed according to stitch pitch for optimum performance.
Energy-Efficient Design
The AMS Series reduces power consumption by approximately 30% (vs. the previous AMS-210E). It utilizes:
A compact AC servomotor for direct drive (high energy transmission efficiency)
An encoder-controlled stepping motor that adjusts power usage based on fabric thickness and stitch length
This results in quieter operation, lower heat output, and reduced running cost.
Superior Stitch Quality & Accuracy
The encoder-controlled X-Y stepping motor allows operators to verify feed position during sewing. This provides:
High accuracy in pattern stitching
Reduced deformation when sewing at high speed
Reliable results even on heavy-weight or multilayer materials
Semi-Dry Head – No Oil Stains
The needle bar and thread take-up system use grease lubrication, while the hook is fed a tiny, controlled quantity of oil from a tank.
This prevents oil staining, protects the garment, and extends machine life.
Programmable Intermediate Presser
The lower dead point of the intermediate presser can be adjusted steplessly during sewing:
Standard: 0–3.5 mm
Maximum: 0–7.0 mm
Stroke adjustable up to 10 mm
This ensures stable clamping of multi-layered materials, preventing thread breakage, skipped stitches, or material shifting.
Multiple Feeding Frame Configurations
Two frame types are available:
Monolithic feeding frame
Separately-driven feeding frame
Left and right sections operate independently
Each side can have different lifting heights and movement speeds
The feeding frame also supports a double-stepped lowering function for precise material alignment.
Active Thread Tension System
JUKI’s Active Tension allows stitch-by-stitch tension adjustment according to fabric thickness and sewing direction.
