The JT908A automatic unit is engineered specifically for lap stitching on thick and medium-weight fabrics such as denim, workwear, and technical garments. Built around a reliable KANSAI three-needle ¼” (6.4 mm) chain stitch feed-off-the-arm head driven by an upper-shaft electronic direct motor, it delivers smooth power, reduced vibration, and excellent seam consistency even at high speeds. To guarantee accurate fabric handling, the machine incorporates differential feed dogs for precise control on different fabric types and an exclusive JAM belt conveyor system, electronically driven, to stabilize and guide panels through the seam. A pneumatic presser foot with material thickness sensor and dual independently adjustable pneumatic pressures for the foot and puller maintain optimal contact pressure as fabric thickness changes. The electronic puller, synchronized with the feed dog, keeps stitch length and fabric alignment constant across the entire seam. For clean finishing and higher productivity, the JT908A provides initial and final chain trimming, while deactivating trimming in the seam center; a vacuum system at the arm end removes chain waste, leaving the garment neat and ready for the next operation. An optional pneumatic tension opener further enhances control for demanding applications.
